Aloha! Welcome to our holding page! Please stay tuned as we take this time to organize ourselves and prepare all the essentials necessary for the establishment of ALOHA LEGACY OHANA, a 501c3 domestic nonprofit, dedicated to a mission and vision of living, preserving and perpetuating "Aloha" in our ohana, our community, and our world. Aloha is an integral element of who we all are, as gifted intelligent contributors to our communities

 

1.4 million people call Hawaii home. Approximately 2%, roughly 28,000, can read, speak and write in the Hawaiian language. The Hawaiian culture is at risk of a cultural extinction event if we do not come together to protect and preserve what's left of a once resilient and thriving civilization.  2022 will be the year for us to "e ala e", arise and awaken our collective consciousness and anxiously engage in the shared vision of preserving the history, intelligence, knowledge, language, and science of the Hawaiian people. E ala e, ka lā i ka hikina,
Awake and arise like the sun in the east 

 

I ka moana, ka moana hohonu,
From out of the ocean, the deep ocean,

 

Pi‘i ka lewa, ka lewa nu‘u,
Climb to heaven, the highest heaven,

 

I ka hikina, aia ka lā, e ala e!
In the east, there is the sun, arise!
